Serenity is a big young mare who has had a good start with
professional training. Serenity leads well, stands for the farrier
nicely, and loads and rides in the trailer quietly.
She received a 2nd premie at the Iron Spring Farm inspection
on Oct. 3, 2005. She has been working under saddle with a professional
trainer, E. Kendle Buffington, since May of 2009. Serenity has a nice long mane
and a floating trot. She is 16h2 at 4 years and may finish a bit taller.
Melody is a very elegant looking young mare with a pretty
face and arched neck. She is quite friendly and lively. I
think of her as a fairy-tale princess horse. Melody
has lovely conformation and stands at 15h3.
Melody stands well for the farrier and loads onto the
trailer with no problems. She has excellent hoof quality; she
has been worked frequently in a sand indoor and a stone dust outdoor
arena, and has never needed shoes.
Her training began with Audrey Sims in the summer of 2007, and
after a year of training, Melody was jumping 2' fences with
ease and attended her first combined test on Nov. 4, 2008. Melody has
a comfortable, ground covering canter and is very responsive to training.
Kendle Buffington has been training Melody since April of 2009. Melody
and Kendle won 2nd place at Beginner Novice level (jumps 2'7")
at the Cross Road Tack Combined Test show August 23, 2009. Melody shows
great enthusiasm for jumping and has the power to get over the jumps
cleanly even if she isn't at the perfect take-off spot. Here is a video
of Melody, ridden by Audrey Sims, at her very first show. It was a Combined Training
event Nov. 4, 2008 at Blue Goose Stables:
Jasmine is a six year old mare with good legs, a beautiful
elegant neck, and thick long mane and tail. Jasmine's training
began with Audrey Sims in the winter
of 2006. In the summer of 2007 Audrey showed Jasmine
at the recognized Heavenly Waters show in Belair, Maryland and
received 1st place in all four training level classes with scores in
the 60's and 70's, and also received Best in Division for both
days of the show. In summer 2008 they began showing at 1st level. She
showed at Dressage at Fair Hill, and at Heavenly Waters, with scores in
the high 60's. Jasmine trailers quietly and is already a seasoned performer
at showgrounds. Her training has continued with Kendle Buffington since
June of 2009. They have completed the requirements for Jasmine's USDF
Training Level certificate and have been doing nicely at First Level competitions.
